From 11 to 14 September, the second edition of the 1000 Miglia Warm Up Austria will take place in SalzburgerLand and the surrounding regions. Participants and fans alike can look forward to a historic competition showcasing some of the most iconic cars in automotive history. <\/strong><\/p>

Salzburg, 29 August 2025 \u2013 In mid-September, the Alps will once again provide an impressive backdrop for the classic car scene. The 1000 Miglia Warm Up Austria brings the legendary Italian racing classic to Austria, showcasing a multitude of valuable automotive treasures. The 1000 Miglia continues to stand out today for its emphasis on originality and history, setting it apart from other regularity events.
The 1000 Miglia Warm Up Austria 2025 features interwar vehicles such as the Lancia Lambda Torpedo 218 and the Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Super Sport Zagato, both of which were built in 1929. Considered Vincenzo Lancia’s masterpiece, the Lambda Torpedo featured several groundbreaking technical innovations, including an independent front suspension and self-supporting body. The Alfa 6C, on the other hand, stood out for its elegant appearance in its day, with the Zagato chassis being considered the sportiest model. Increasing the engine capacity from 1,500 to 1,750 cc offered greater driving comfort to the production models and was also a recipe for success in competition. <\/p>

Another highlight is the appearance of a 1928 Lancia Lambda Spider. This Spider, with its short wheelbase, was one of the final models in this revolutionary series and was also used successfully in racing. A 1952 Jaguar XK120 with an inline six-cylinder engine stands out from the post-war period. Once again, the starting line-up of the 1000 Miglia Warm Up Austria showcases half a century of automotive history, characterised by pioneering achievements and revolutionary technology. <\/p>

The event kicks off on Thursday afternoon with the Seefeld Trophy, which is already part of the competition. On Friday, the route meanders across several mountain passes on the way to the Zillertal valley, finally reaching the stage destination of Saalfelden-Leogang. On Saturday, the route continues to K\u00f6nigssee in Germany, after which the participants will return via the Ro\u00dffeld to the impressive lake landscape of the Salzkammergut in SalzburgerLand. The grand finale, complete with a reception at the finish line, will take place on Saturday afternoon at Kajetanerplatz, in the heart of Salzburg’s Old Town. Spectators are very welcome along the route. <\/p>

The event will be held as a regularity competition. With 35 time trials and eight average speed trials, the result will be determined by driving technique, precision, and teamwork between drivers and co-drivers. Awards will be presented to the overall winners, the best women’s team, the winners of the average speed competition, and the winners of the Porsche Challenge. At the award ceremony in the M32 in Salzburg, the winning team in the overall classification of the 1000 Miglia Warm Up Austria 2025 will also receive a popular starting place for the 1000 Miglia 2026 in Italy. <\/p>

The 2025 event will once again be supported by high-quality partners, led by SalzburgerLand.
